Sarah was born into the Moore racing dynasty, with parents Simon and Carol Moore who own the Tockwith Circuit in Yorkshire. Tockwith aerodrome was where she learnt he racing craft on the family's kart circuit, showing talent at an early age. Sarah began karting in the Stars of Tomorrow Championship at only 9 years old. She then graduated into sports cars in 2008 with Ginetta Juniors Championship at 14 years old - following in footsteps of older brother Nigel Moore. After a mediocre season Sarah went on to compete in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series in 2008 where she was narrowly pipped to 2nd place by Josh Hill.
In 2009 Sarah won the Ginetta Junior Championship, winning her a host of accolades including:

* Club Driver of the Year at Autosport Awards

* Shortlised in final ten of BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year 2009. Organisers credited her with being "the most successful female racing driver in Britain and in the history of motorsport."

* Won Lord Wakefield Award from British Women's Racing Drivers Club in Jan 2010
