| Snetterton next for Jordan and Pirtek Racing |

The high-speed East Anglian track will host rounds 16, 17 and 18 of the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and it will represent a new challenge for the BTCC drivers as the circuit was extensively re-worked over the winter. The new three-mile lap includes a technical infield section and Andrew says that tyre performance in the races could be vital. With the prospect of warm summer weather, the tyres will be worked very hard across Sunday's three races. "I'm looking forward to getting back in the car after the long break," he said. "I've not driven the race car since Croft. We're quite happy with where we are at and we know what we need to do set-up wise so I think Snetterton could be one of our strongest tracks." Clearly, tyre performance is uppermost in Andrew's planning. "I think race pace will be the big issue around the new Snetterton," he said. "The new layout will hurt the front tyres so much and I think the BMWs will be very strong. Looking at our Croft performance and our race pace there, I think we should be strong at Snetterton. I'm not sure about matching the Hondas on qualifying pace, but my aim is to maintain our record of qualifying in the top five at every event. Then I think we'll be in very good shape for the races." As usual, Andrew's target is to maintain his bid for the Independent's Trophy as well as to stay in the running for the overall title. He currently lies second to Mat Jackson in the Independents and fourth overall behind Matt Neal, Jackson and Gordon Shedden. "I've got to stay out of trouble and score points," he said. "It's a bit boring, but that's the way it has to be. But I do want to get at least one more win this season." To allow the drivers to improve their knowledge of the new Snetterton, Andrew and his Pirtek Racing team mate Jeff Smith will be there on Wednesday (3 August) to take part in a track day with Jeff's Renault Clio. After qualifying at Snetterton on Saturday at 15.45, the first of three BTCC races will be at 12.10 on Sunday, with race two at 14.40 and race three at 17.05. All three races will be broadcast live on ITV4 in a programme starting at 11.00. Qualifying will be broadcast live at www.itv.com and live results from the weekend will be available at www.tsl-timing.com |

After a seven-week mid-season break in the BTCC schedule, Andrew Jordan says he can't wait to get racing again when the season resumes at Snetterton over the weekend of 6/7 August. He believes that the newly re-developed Norfolk track will be well suited to the Pirtek Racing Vauxhall Vectra.
